The Elementary Advisory Board, called the Food Dudes, is made up of students in grades four, five, and six. These students help to bridge the gap between the student body and the cafeteria. The Food Dudes meet once every second six day cycle to discuss feed back from other students, foods served, and ways to make meals better.
The Food Dudes have named and had a hand in perfecting one of our new food dishes, Meat-A-Roni. They have also conducted surveys and promoted National School Breakfast Week by making posters, decorating a bulletin board, and writing and performing a skit to remind students to make time for breakfast every day.
The Food Dudes have been featured in School Nutrition magazine which is read every month by thousands of food service directors and industry leaders.
