Snack - We will have a working snack every day. Students may order milk from the cafeteria. Please be sure to pack your child a healthy snack and drink!
Planner - Check your child's planner nightly and sign that you have checked over your child's homework. If your child is struggling with homework, please send me a note and I will reteach him/her.
Absence - If your child is absent and you would like your child's homework sent home with someone else please call the school in the morning or e-mail me so that I can get it prepared.
Scholastic Book Club - Throughout the year fliers will be sent home to buy books. You can order Online at scholastic.com/readingclub. Our class code is MFCDC.

The keyword this year will be RESPONSIBILITY. It is very important for your child to take responsibility for his or her schoolwork. I will need your help with this endeavor. Your child will have a small amount of homework Monday through Thursday. This homework will reinforce skills taught in class and may involve paper-and-pencil tasks, i-Ready practice, or work on their Chromebook. It should not take much time after school and will still allow for family time, sports, and play.
If your child has difficulty completing the homework, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or write a note on the homework.
Your child will keep track of assignments in their planner. They will be responsible for writing down their assignments each day. A parent or guardian is responsible for signing the planner after the homework has been completed and checked. Please also double-check your child’s take-home folder for any important papers or tests that need to be signed and returned. The planner can be used as a tool for home-school communication.
Your child will also be responsible for bringing their Chromebook to school fully charged each day. This is not a personal device and should only be used for school purposes. Chromebooks should be kept in the bag provided and handled with care.
