This course will provide students with an opportunity to develop basic technical skills as they relate to engineering and technology and the product life cycle. Topics will include technical mathematics, technical communication and documentation, design process, workshop safety, and materials processing. Students will begin the course with an introductory fabrication experience, using basic hand tools and power tools to construct a physical model. As students progress, they will continue to explore the application of basic technical and engineering concepts to occupational and educational opportunities that they may pursue in the future.
