Professional Development

All faculty have had and continue to have access to technology training. All faculty have, at minimum, basic computer skills, such as word processing and Internet usage. The vast majority of the faculty is applying technology in some way to their teaching assignment, through such activities as communicating with parents via E-mail, maintaining electronic gradebooks, using PowerPoint as a visual teaching aid or composing lesson plans and materials on a word processor. Some teachers highly motivated by technology are even integrating technology into their curriculum; student-generated multimedia presentations, electronic data graphing, web-based research projects, digital art projects, and website creation. Almost all of the teachers within our District understand the need for technology and are currently integrating technology into their curriculum.
