School Counseling Services
School counseling services are offered to all students at Forest City Regional Elementary School. As an elementary school counselor, I have the unique opportunity to follow all of my students each year from Pre-K through Sixth Grade. As a school counselor, I will be providing counseling and consultation services in the area of academic, personal/social, and career development. I provide these services through individual, small group counseling, and developmental classroom guidance lessons. I consult and collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parent. I also help coordinate services outside of the school setting to assist students and families in need.
Throughout the year I am able to come into classrooms for counseling lessons. My counseling lessons cover academic, career, and social/emotional areas.
Throughout the year, faculty and staff have the opportunity to refer students to small educational groups that focus on a specific, targeted topic. Small group counseling provides students with a relaxed setting to be with other students to participate in discussions and activities on a variety of issues.
Students can always come to see the counselor individually!
To see the School Counselor, students can:
* Tell their teacher or parent.
* Come to my office.
* Drop a note in my mailbox outside the counselor’s door.
