Welcome to Pre-K! I am excited to begin another year with your child.
January 16, 2017
Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. You can call the office or email me at email@example.com.
Our theme this week is a science unit on animal habitats. We will look at various animals and where they live. We are learning the color song for blue and learning the triangle shape. Fine motor skills will include holding a crayon and pencil and cutting with scissors. We will read books about animals and their homes. The letter of the week is O (octopus).
Please remember to label all clothing and bookbags with your child's name. Extra clothes should also be in school.
A blanket for naptime makes resting more comfortable, also. You may also send in a small pillow.
Pre-K students get a breakfast, lunch, and a snack every day. An alternate is available; check the menu for options. Please send in a note if your child prefers the alternate. If you send in a lunch it needs to be complete, we can not provide just part of a lunch. We will also have a fruit or vegetable snack. Monday will be apples, Tuesday will be cucumbers, Wednesday will be strawberries, and Thursday will be either sugar snap peas or baby carrots. There is no fruit or vegetable on Friday. Your child will be encouraged to eat this snack, but not required to eat it
Our school adheres to a dress code policy. Students in Pre-K follow this dress code . Please refer to the Student Handbook for allowable clothing. Jeans are not allowed either in pants or shorts.
Any medication, including over the counter and cough drops need to be accompanied by a doctor's note as per the student handbook.
