Expeditionary Learning:
Expeditionary Learning is not the typical reading curriculum in 4th grade. Unlike most, it does not have workbooks or large anthologies. Students will receive binders, which will be kept in class, where they will have the articles and pieces we work with. They will also receive a variety of chapter books and other books to work with, but these will also stay in class. This means, students will not be bringing much home, for the work will be done in class.

100 Book Challenge:
Students will be participating in the 100 Book Challenge. This program is designed to allow students 30 minutes in the school day to read on their independent level. This allows students to gain practice on specific individual skills and allows time for more one-on-one and small group work.
