Dear Students and Parents,
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2016 -2017 school year. We at Forest City Regional High School believe that all students can learn. Our mission is to prepare your child to be a life-long learner, critical problem solver, and a responsible, productive citizen. Our goal as a high school is to provide a challenging curriculum in a safe and supportive learning environment so that our students gain all of the essential knowledge and skills to be competitive in any career path they choose.
Our administration, faculty, and staff will work tirelessly and are highly motivated and committed to education and supporting your child as they work through our comprehensive curriculum designed to open future pathways whether it is in the workforce, military, or attending a college or university. Our faculty and staff will work collaboratively with our students and families to ensure that every student has a voice in our school and supported academically, personally, socially, and emotionally so they can meet the goals and objectives of a strong curriculum and all of the individual needs of our students.
The information in our handbook provides a brief summary of our school procedures, student expectations, and guidelines. All students and parents are encouraged to read and reference this document throughout the school year. If you have any questions or would like to review and/or discuss any area of our handbook, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to becoming a proud member of the Forest City community while assisting you in meeting all of your goals and aspirations.
Yours in Education,
Michael S. Elia, Ed.D.
