Free and Reduced Meal Benefits

Students attending Forest City Regional School District may be eligible for free or reduced priced meals depending on household income through the Department of Education’s National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs.  All households with children attending Forest City Regional School District can apply online for Free/Reduced meal benefits at  If a paper application is preferred please call the cafeteria office (785-2412) or the business office (785-2422) and an application will be mailed to you or print a copy of the application found at the link below, fill it out and return it to: Donna Keslo - Business Office.

If you do not receive an Approval/Denial Letter from the school district within 10 days after your submission please call Donna Keslo at 785-2422.

Parents receiving a Notice of Direct Certification letter do not have to submit a Free/Reduced Meal Application.  Your child/ren will already be approved for free meals.

Free/Reduced Meal Applications may be submitted at anytime during the year when the household income or member status changes.

Qualifying for free or reduced meals benefits both the family and the school:

1). It entitles your child to receive free/reduced meal benefits if you qualify.

2). It entitles the school district to receive additional monies from the State and Federal Government and/or grant opportunities.

3). It determines if our elementary students continue to receive their RIF (Reading is Fundamental) book distributions.

4). High School Students may be eligible for a waiver of their SAT testing fees.
